1998 dodge ram van 250 trans started slipping, has 120 thousand miles now,start engine put into gear some whinning sounds comming from trans does not enage right away ,foot on brake test and rev engine no engagement until let off the accelerator then the trans goes into gear ,taking off sometimes trans sounds like its reving the motor befor ****fing but the other dasy trans was slipping all together what could be wrong with my trans please help with answers if you can thank you from edd .

Um, isn't this the Caravan/Ramvan section?

Sounds like the front pump is going bad, at 120K time for a teardown and overhaul you torqueflite is getting tired.

 

tranny fluid leves ok?
