So I am upgrading my 1999 ram van 1500 to an electric fan. I am wondering about the temp sensor. Can I use what I already have installed in the vehicle (I assume it is the sensor that is by the tstat?)? Or should i replace it with the sensor that inserts into the radiator. I saw the radiator version in a video, I don't have any real reason for mentioning it otherwise.

 

Get a radiator tap type(goes in the upper rad hose) and controller. You can have it turn on at any temp.
