Default Where is the AC clutch coil diode ?

I'm trying to find AC clutch coil diode on a 2001 3500. Service manual shows one in the schematic but I'm having a hard time locating it in the van. I'm replacing my clutch coil and the one I ordered has no sign of a diode attached.
Thanks

Hmm, good question since I never looked for it. Did you check in the fuse box under the hood to se if it's there?

Pic. from Service Manual

Not in fuse box under hood or in dash. Specs from Sandan indicate diode is part of compressor/clutch system to suppress voltage spike but not where. My searches indicate it is almost always wired with the coil pigtail. As I said my new replacement coil does not have one and I don't find one at or near the connector. Have heard AC coil failure is an issue with these vans and wonder if no diode is the problem. I'm probably going to splice my own diode into the connector just to be safe. It can't hurt (assuming wired right) and I'm closing in but not sure of diode specs- 12V 1A rated to 1000V surge.
