Default mirror, mirror on the windshield.....

Mirror on my 2001 Ram Wagon fell off today. After reading the shop manual replacement instructions it seems like the Locktite rearview mirror adhesive might be what they used originally. The question I have is what is the best way to remove the old glue from the windshield?
Thanks in advance,
Evan

Hammer and chisel.

Is this a serious question?

Nibroc is correct. Old glue will just scrape off with single edge razor. You can get a re-install kit with correct glue at any auto parts store.
