Put in a common part (alternator), sort by miles from your house, and call the yard. Have them ship the part to you.

Thank you all for the tips, money and ambition have put this van on the back burner for now.
I did find a new rubber seal for the filler neck though. The very next item will be a key, tumbler
and ign. switch, as I did not get keys with the van.
