Smile Dodge 1986 RAM B350 5.9L

Hello, I am new here so sorry if I unintentionally break any rules.

I have a Dodge 1986 RAM B350 5.9L with some transmission issues, mechanic told me it needs to be rebuilt, I am getting a second opinion on Monday but if this is the case, I would like to get a new transmission but cannot find one anywhere.

All the parts for my van seam to be discontinued and I cant get any help anywhere.

Please let me know if you can recommend a transmission for my van, and also if anyone has any information on where to get parts, that would be great to.

For some reason it appears that all the 1986 Dodge Ram Van’s have droppped off the planet.

Thanks!

Eric

Chrysler seems to be in a hurry discontinuing parts these days. I could have bought some inner rocker parts for my van two years ago but not anymore. Check the stickers under the hood and in the door jamb to see which transmission you currently have. The mechanical control OD transmission connected to my 318 is nice but I don't think it is meant for the 5.9.
