1994 b250 ABS Rear or 4-Wheel?
Hi all,
I just bought a 1994 B250 converson van. It has the 318 and A518 4 speed trans. Being a Ford truck guy I have little knowledge of Dodge vans. I plan on rebuilding the brake system and front end but need some info.
First off how do I tell if I have rear wheel or 4-wheel ABS. It doesn't say on the sticker under the hood and there is no sticker in the door jam (was removed).
Second, my brakes seem overly firm. Is this how these vans are or is there something I should look for?
Lastly, the steering wheel has about an inch or two of loose play in it. I noticed that the steering shaft is a 2 piece with a u-joint connecting them. When wiggeling the steering wheel back and forth it looks like the top shaft will move the 1 to 2 inches either way before it moves the bottom shaft. Do you think this could be the problem?
The previous owner kept up with all the maintainance and gave me all his records. 4 brand new tires were just put on and he said the shop checked the front end and everything passed.
Thanks for any help!!
Jay
