Default Replacement Front brake pad advice for 2000 B350 RamVan

Right now the front brakes are in good shape. However, I'm taking two month road trip and want to bring along a spare set of front brake pads.

For convenience, I get my auto supplies at the local Autozone. Any with an opinion on these three choices?
  • OE grade semi metallic formulation ($47)
  • OE grade ceramic formulation ($52)
  • Premium semi-metallic ($60)
Here's a link to the site showing all three

Personally I go middle of the road. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive. IMO, you are way overthinking things if you feel you need to bring a spare set of brake pads for a road trip....If they need to be replaced, replace them before. You really want to stop on the side of the road and change brake pads?

Thanks for the advice.

The deal is that we'll be traveling in remote areas of Alaska and the Yulon, and if they have to be replaced, I want to have a set available. Not many AutoZones up in the boonies of the far north...

OK, that makes more sense, but again, why just pads your worried about? What about rotors, drums, shoes, suspension components, etc, etc....

Without trying to bring along a trailer full of parts, I looked at the things we needed on the last long trip and just making a guesstimate of what I'll need. Believe me, I'm taking more than I need as it is...
