Hello everyone I have a 1996 Dodge ram van with a 3.9l... Long story short the Van stalled out on me.. Had it stole home mechanic came by told me to change Ignition Pick up call you The Van will crank and start run for 20 seconds and then stall out. I used a Van to do mobile detailer which is my only source of income the Van has been down for a week please help me so I can pay bills..

 

FV3 did your mechanic check for error codes to maybe pin point the problem. There are some very good mechanics here that may point you in the right direction. For these old vans a code reader is a must in your tool box.

 

Weak fuel pump
worn cap and rotor
crank sensor
are the usual suspects in my experience but without testing tools you're just guessing.
