1986 Van Wagon 5.9 comsuption ?

1986 B250 Van wagon with original Dodge towing package, 5.9L engine carbureted.
Where is can be the MPG whithout a trailer ? It's really more than the 5.2L engine ?

I know with my 1991 the 5.2 was preferable over the 5.9 because it had the Overdrive Transmission and weighed less. This gave better fuel economy and higher payload.
