Question 1999 Dodge Ram Van 1500 Cruise Control

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Van with the V-6 Automatic transmission I bought new. It only has 39,000.0 actual miles. When I put it on cruise control at any speed, it feels like a quick in the blink of an eye stumble. It doesn't kick off at all and continues on cruise. If I don't use cruise there are no problems whatsoever at any speed. Runs steady and smooth as it should.

Is there something in the cruise setup that I can look for causing this problem? Thanking you in advance for your suggestions.

If you have not already done this, I would check for error codes to see if the cc is malfunctioning in anyway. Cruise control vacuum reservoir and vacuum leaks could be problem areas to look into.
