Default Dimmer switch 1990 Dodge Wagon B350

I'm in the process of diagnosing a no headlights, no parking lights, no brake lights problem. I have a question about the dimmer switch. The dimmer switch is on the lower steering column and is controlled by the turn signal/wiper lever. The lever is not connected mechanically to the dimmer switch which I assume it needs to be to operate the switch. Is there a rod missing that connects the lever to the switch? Flying blind here...need help. Thanks in advance.

Update: I'm answering my own question. I need a dimmer actuator which had been discontinued. Junk yard time.
