in fo on torque

Default in fo on torque

i am resurrecting a 1977 van b100 with the slant six in her I m getting 3 or 4 different torque values on the in take an exhaust manifold some are saying 10 lb and the Chilton is saying 30 or 40 lb . on the
manifold is has right on it says 10 lb a friend swore it's no more than 7 lb anyone know the right one. I am led to believe if it to tight it will break the manifold I a short time . anyone know for sure

At that low of a torque use an inch-pound torque wrench. That is about all I can add to the discussion.

I'm 95% sure it's 10ft. lbs. for both the intake and exhaust manifolds.

that's kind of what I have found 10 lb is the winner thanks for help
