85 Dodge b250, Sliding door unlock knob

85 Dodge b250, Sliding door unlock ****
Good morning, so I ran into a new issue with the van sliding door unlock/lock **** staying up.
When I use the driver/passenger electric door locks to open all door *****, the sliding door **** does stay up so I can open the sliding door. but when I manually lift the sliding door lock ****, it goes back down!
What I have to do:
a) use the electric locks from the front doors so the sliding door lock stays up
b) from inside, lift the sliding door lock **** upwards while holding it and opening the door
c) from outside, leave key in while turning key to lift the **** upwards and holding that key position instead of taking it out from the cylinder to open the door.
Such a headache. Any advice?
