Default Seat to Floor Pan Bolt Removal or Purchase Help

Hi everyone,

Just joined. First post. Couldnt find an answer in the search.

I have 1997 b3500 that Im building out into an adventure vehicle and when I purchased it, it only had a drivers seat. After six months I finally found a seat the lines up with the mounting points in the floor pan but now I have another issue.

I thought tracking down the bolts that go through the floor and secure the seat wouldn't be all that difficult and I was wrong. I've found a few vans in salvage yards but those things just wont budge. I could probably take a grinder to the floor and cut the whole damn thing out of there maybe?

Anyway, called Mopar as well and they said that bolt is discontinued. So what's a guy to do? Pretty weird bolt, don;t suppose a hardware store would have one.

The studs at the junk yards are loctited in. I have double nutted them and removed them before so I know. Lock the the nuts together and use force, they will come out. As an option forget the stud and nut configuration and just use a new bolt that matches the lower stud thread. I'm not sure what grade stud the original was, but by safety regs it needs to be the same and the washer also needs to be the same diameter and grade as the original, considering the holes in the seat base are oversized for easy installation.

thanks for the reply @Busted Nuckles

I ran down to the dodge dealer with the bolt (which I was told is actually a stud) and apparently its a pretty universal part. The manager just gave me 4 of them for free and they fit perfectly!
