Good info, thank you...any chance you can provide links to the upstream and downsteam O2 sensors that work for you? Funny you mention this cause I had my mechanic buddy look/listen at my van while it was chugging and idling rough and thats the first thing he said.

Update: I put in two new Denso O2 sensors last Saturday and I can tell the van is idling and running much better. So thank you guys for the help.
I had one small hiccup a few days ago when I started it, it was idling rough but I was also parked on a pretty severe decline, not sure if that had anything to do with it.
I also noticed that the old upstream O2 sensor had only one row of holes on the sensor part, where the Denso sensor had 4 rows of holes.

you want to reset the computer by disconnecting the negative cable for a minute. This is so the computer can remap the fuel curve which is now different with the new sensors.

Update: Issue is back. Doesn't happen as often but its def still there.
Could this be a crankshaft sensor issue, or would that throw a code? I replaced that about 5 years ago when I was hunting down an issue that turned out to be the dreaded PCM.
I called a mechanic that I know and he said it could be a bad EGR valve but I looked it up and my van doesnt have one of those.

I am having these same issues. it actually just started up again after being dormant for the winter. Now that its getting hotter seems to be more frequent. Were you able to find the problem and get it fixed? I've replaced just about everything on my throttle body. I'm at a loss here.
Shake or bang on with your hand on the catalytic converter and listen for loose chunks floating inside the housing.
