Strut rod Bushing part#'s???I am looking for what gus have used and are happy with. I have been serching the forum for this and other questions. First,My vann is unique to canada and have not seen anotherone yet by the same campervan maker up here. It is a 1998 B-3500 COACHOUSE widebody, made in Nakomus Florida. ( sorry for the spelling mistakes, I have been having some wine) Anyway this van came from a life in Texas in 2007 to Alberta with 59 000 miles. I bought 2 years ago with 71000miles. Today, it has 81500 miles. ANYWAY, I am planing on colecting parts to rebuld front suspension. It is good right now, front springs a bit weak, but they will do.Had a balljoint(upper) don by sa shop ,but I can do most of the work myself. Eventualy springs, controlarm bush...,you get the picture. Anyway, Rockauto,AC delco professinal strut rod bushings,or Chrysler factory parts. And I will need the most recent part number for the chrysler kit. I just phoned dealer up here and he gave me numbers and prices for uppers and lowers. I said No,strutrods,he said, you buy them seperatly. I think the Covid has got to him. Anybody with a kit part number?? 4000lb axel up front. Cheers!
The strut rod bushings from Mopar do still exist but they are expensive. I saw them and compared them to Moog and the Moogs are the same ones.
The cheapies are polyurethane. The do work a little better but made the ride a little harder and they squeaked.
Hope this help.
I replaced mine a while back. I can't remember how I came across these Mopar parts but apparently Daimler Chrysler redesigned the bushings to replace original which had size problems. Link below is to a thread on this forum and towards the end are photos of the parts no. and letter saying parts redesigned. these went into a 2001 DRV 3500 5.9L.
