fuel sync... no distributor pickup signal on snap on reader
setting fuel sync on a 94 dodge b250. New ignition from distributor to plugs. Set sync from tdc cyl 1. Runs good. Hooked up to a snapop diag tool and it raises to 1000 rpm but it doesnt pick up a reading for sync. With the check mark on or off for sync signal ( whats this do?) Also there is no signal from the pickup sensor on tbe diag tool. When testing the sensor it has 9v, and ground as well as 5v on and off when cranking intermediately. When engine is runni think its 3 to 5 volts or something of the sort.
Aby ideas this has been stumbling me and a few techs for the last few weeks. Cant find any more info. Called 3 dodge dealerships and 3 independent dodge techs plus countless hours on the web. If the sensor is sending signal and the car is running what could make the diag tool not pick up sync or a reading from the sensor?
Bad brand new sensor, bad relay, or bad pcm are my only ideas but they hardly make sense given the readouts.
