Newbie here needs RKE help
HELLO Dodge fans 😁👍. I have a 2000 ram 1500 van 3.9 L have lost all remotes. Picked up a used one from internet and was wondering if I can program it without dbiii ?
My second question is I bought a used TRW RKE and was wondering if I swap it in my van is it plug and play? Or can I undo the swap with out any programming needed.
‘The reason I would like to try this is for my locks fuse keeps blowing instantly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think I figured out that the RKE and central timer module have been combined. I swapped out the rke with the exact part number and it appears to not need any programming. The van starts and runs the same. It cured the power lock fuse from blowing, which means the short was in the ctm/ rke module. Hope this helps someone. Now all I need is to get a couple of remotes programmed. I tried the ground the 1st pin on obd2 to put it in programming but it would not take as I don’t have the original.
