Thumbs up

So I got my sliding door weather stripping from a company called Vintage Parts, their website is: www.vpartsinc.com. They had my original part, it was OEM, , it was new old stock. I was clued in to this company from my local Dodge dealership, who gave me the original part #, and then with that I was able to contact this company and pay for it myself. So my local Dodge dealership told me that this company specializes in purchasing overstock older parts from dealerships across the US, so they buy recently and soon to be discontinued parts in bulk. Then they sell them to dealers and repair shops who need the parts. I have 1995 Dodge B150 and am having serious issues with my sliding door, I decided to replace the weatherstripping/gasket to help with a small leak and air gap problem. The dealership told me that they stopped carrying my part in 2015, but they could get it for me with an up charge. The parts guy felt bad for me and said pretty much look, here is the original part #, they have it in stock, just call them, give them the original part # and they will ship it to you. They generally only deal with dealerships is my understanding, so you need to call your local Dodge dealership and get the original part #, cause these guys were serious, they didn’t really want to look anything up for me, and that was what the dealership had said, basically I NEEDED to provide them the original part#.
