have a 1994 Dodge Ram B250 5.2l/316ci, when turning on the ignition, you can hear the relay click, the fuel pump working, all good. when trying to start it, it cranks 10 times before starting. when cranking it 3 times, stop and crank again it fires up in one crank all the time. checked the gas pressure and it does build up to ~45psi but then drops it right away. have placed a check valve right after the fuel pump (see pic) so gas cannot go back into the tank (or at least not this quickly). once motor is running, it is solid. i have also taken a quick video to show the pressure in/decreasing. i uploaded it on youtube: . any idea what the issue could be? thank you....

 

The check valve is likely too far away to be of much help. Your best solution is to replace the pump assembly.
