Default Swapping obdI ECUs between same years, Different models

I have a 95 B3500 van and want to swap the current problematic ecu with one from a 95 ram pickup with the same engine and transmission. Will it work?

YES, THE ECU IS INTERCHANGEABLE!!!
The ECU came today and I installed it with no problems. I had a 56028547 which is for a 1995 B3500 van and replaced it with a 56028272 from a 1995 Dodge 1500. Both have a 5.2l V8 with an automatic with overdrive. It starts easy, runs smooth, cruise control and overdrive button work as they should. I would guess the emissions are the same as they both are the same year. time will tell. The big difference is that I couldn't find one without paying a huge price for a used one. Oreilly and Autozone could not get them or get mine rebuilt. Cardone was no help directly. And the 1500 ECUs are plentiful. The ECU from the pickup was 1/6th what they wanted for my original number.

It is showing a code 37 which is transmission temperature sensor malfunction. I don't have one on the van. It only comes with a tow package on the truck. oh well....I can live with that.
