Default A hole on dash, 2003 RAM VAN

Hello RAM VAN owners,
I have a question.
Please see this photo.
Could you let me know what hole is this ?
A guy says it is for auto lighting sensor, another guy says it is for small speaker.
I want to know correct information.

Pretty simple to answer for yourself:

1. Cover it and see if the lights come on
2. Turn the radio on and listen to see if sound comes out.

It's not a speaker. I suspect it's for automatic headlights if equipped. Otherwise, it's just easier to put the slits there and if not used, no problem. I'm sure if you get inside the dash, you'll find plugs for options it didn't get when built.

It's just a vent to let heat out of the dash; probably to keep the radio from overheating.
