Default What size tires will fit?

ON my '78 B300....it had 225/75-16s on it. It needs tires and I was planning on putting old tires from my Suburban on it...245/75-16s on it. I see evidence that the old ones rubbed, just a bit in front. But, I really don't know if it was the old ones, or others.

Theoretically, what size tires will fit the van, in front, w/o rubbing? I assume that the rear will handle the 245s w/o issue.

Go to discount tire website, enter your vehicle information and it will tell you what other sizes you can run on a stock suspension.

I went to the Discount website. It would seem that in 1978, based on their tire finder, Dodge only made Chargers and Challengers.

The les schwab, discounttire, tirerack dont work on a 1978 vehicle. 1980 tends to indicate 8.75x16.5. But, that is not the same generation of van.

I think that we are gonna put 225/75-16 on the front and 245s on the rear.

Should be fine. That's about 1" taller and 1" wider.

According to this website, for 16" rims, 225/70R16 and 235/70R16 are the two sizes that will properly fit your vehicle.
