95 Ram Shaking
I drive the a 95 Ram van with a Magnum 360 for our church and over the last few weeks it has started to shake when driving. The van only shakes when in the throttle and shakes for about 2 seconds and the stops for about 2 seconds and then shakes again, repeating that pattern. Is this a common problem? Is it the transmission, fuel pump, or injectors? Any help would be nice. Thanks.

I've done the seafoam for the 5.2L and 3.9L.
I got mixed results when I tried the seafoam first in the 5.2L. However, recently, I discovered why the results were poor. The cheap-o champion spark plugs had nearly no electrode left to them. Besides that, three sheared off in the block while tring to take them out. I had to pay a good garage to removed them, put in new Autolite platium spark plugs and do 10W30 oil change. Total cost @ 70/hr labor was $300. Thank the good Lord they were able to get an easy-out in that very tight engine dog-house to remove them. Else, they would have needed to remove the head to the engine. Labor and work would have been over $1,800 to do that.
I plan on doing the seafoam again. The fuel injectors and the cylinders get a good cleaning with the stuff. I usually just pour it down the throttle body. For the first 3k of miles, the engine will vary in idle rpm (up and down a little) after a seafoam cleaning. Eventually, the fluctuation will smooth out. You will notice it after the cleaning, then it starts to deminish over time and mileage. Some people mentioned that this is due to the muffler getting all the junk from the engine and takes a little time for it to purge (blow out). So, don't be alarmed by this. It does work well. Of course, the higher the mileage, the more junk to purge.
The 5.2L is the 318. The 5.9L is the 360.
Peace!

Okay I have figured out that it is not the trasmission because the engine sputters in park. We filled the tank all the way up with gas and it quit shaking until it got below a 1/2 tank then it started shaking again. I am starting to think it may be the fuel pump or pick up hose or something inside the tank. What do you think?
Hey, in an ealier posting here, a few others have the same issue. The answer was to replace the fuel filter in the gas tank. Also, to pinch the return gas line hose to the gas tank.
