What is the oil capacity (with oil filter) for a V6 Manum on a 1995 Dodge B1500 van?

 

Nobody knows?

I got the oil changed at an A-1 auto center the other day, and on the reciept it said they put 6 quarts of oil in it (this sounded like too much), I checked the oil when I got home, and it was way over. I drained about 1 and a half quarts and it is still a little over. I was wondering what should be in it. I bought the van used, and didn't end up getting a manual with it. If anyone has a van with a V6 Magnum, could you check it and see how much is supposed to be in it?

The V6 3.9L takes about 3.8 quarts of oil.

The V8 5.2L takes about 4.5 quarts of oil.

Putting 6 quarts in is crasy!

 

I know, I didn't check it till I got home because I figured they knew what they were doing. Well, guess I won't go back there again. I should just go back to changing it myself. Thanks for the info!
