I am looking at a 94 b250 with a 3.9 v-6. It has a 3 spd auto. The info tag under the hood says a900 trans package.Am iI right in assumming that this is a 904 trans?Whatever is in it is bad,i'll either need to rebuild it or replace it. does anyone know what my options would be for replacement. I have located a 727 in another 94 with a 5.2. i believe the bellhousing is the same,but not sure how the computer/wiring would work. any info would be helpful.

I'm not much of a tranny person, but this sheet should help you out some. 
If I recall, the 42RH 3spd mated to the 3.9L V6. The 46RH tranny is a 4spd that includes OD mated to the 5.2L.
If you got OD or not, that's another question to ask.
