Default 87 Ram 25 Extended Hitop Van Camper 318

Boutht this a year ago for 2K and have been fixing it up. Engine runs strong but for some blue smoke when i start it in the morning. The seats all stripped out but two and some previous owner did a good 2x4 job of putting in a dinette that turns into a queen size bed. TV and Microwave above the cab. I put in a porta=potti and roof air. replaced belts and hoses, tires and about 1K in total extra cost. The 318 has 145,000 on it. Tranny leaks but trying stop leak. Photos at http://naval.com/van Would like to meet others with similar van for informaton exchange. I need shocks and not sure of what kind to get so any advise there appreciated. Have bought most of my parts on ebay with good luck. Will install swivel for pas seat soon. Got that on ebay too. Comments most welcome from all.

well if you want, you can post pictures in the gallery as well. See the Your Attention Please!!!!!!!!!!! post about how to do that. I have an 87 B250 Cargo van, <-- click the camera for the only picture I've uploaded. I'm still finding little and big electrical nightmares left to me by the previous owner. I see from your web page though that you are used to electrical nightmares as well ...fun job. Unfortunaly as to the shocks I dont know anything that can help. I might suggest you getting the van weighed at a weighstation with with the fuel tank full to get an idea how much of your rated chassis weight is used by the wonderfull looking interior. The last time I did mine, it cost about $12.

My radios, electronics, mounting hardware, UPS and wooden floor currently are about 400 lbs., and then I add an additional 400 lbs to the back when I hang the plow off the front.

Default New Springs and shocks did the trick

She rides nice now.

Valet Parking at the Biloxi Casino tore off the roof ac so soon a new Coleman Polar Pup going on. 9000 btu should be more than enough and I hear will start on a Honda 2000 generator. New Wrangler tires all around and almost ready for another road trip~!

And work by a real Carb pro has me driving with just one foot now ;-)

Now exhaust leak. Appears there is a cross over pipe between manifolds and its disconnected on the drivers side. Also appears a leak on the pass side.. maybe a crack in the manifold or a gasket. One place talking 1200 bucks :-(
