Irritating wind noise in '95 Ram van
I have a '95 Ram Van 2500.
Does anyone else have problems with annoying wind noise at highway speed?
The van has 133,000 miles on it and has had this problem since I bought it at 44,000 miles. The weather seals are good. Am I correct in assuming maybe this a problem endemic to all vehicles that have wing-vent windows?
Is there anything I can do about it?

I filled the gap between the fender and the windshield pillar with clear silicone and it cut down the noise a
whole lot.
On mine, my wind noise is caused by the door not matching the frame - for some reason it's too low on one side and the only fix I can see involves welding. I experiemnted with some of the foam rubber seals from Lowes and although ugly and a hack - it worked.

I have a 96 B2500 Ram. Now with 68k miles.
I've had an irritating wind noise coming from the d/s windshield pillar. It's a wind howling noise that increases with speed. It's really bad at 75-80 mph. Sounds like the window is open a bit. It's been there since the van was new. The door is slightly below flush with the fender and there are no visible defects in the front fender area. I've had the windshield removed and resealed and the gaskets replaed around the hood / cowling area. It was at numerous body shops & Dealerships. Nobody could ever find it. It's still there 10 years later and I still haven't found the cause. Note.. There are no water leaks.. Just a wind Howl...
I have been driving Dodge Fullsize Vans for 30 years now. Probably 20 + different Vans. Most were company vehicles. I've never experienced this with any of them.
I will say they are awesome vehicles. Most of them easily reached 300k Miles. The ones that didn't were usually because of a wreck or rusting away beyond their service limits.

My noise is from the d/s door seal. It keeps falling off from time-to-time. When I get time, I will tac it up with something.
Now with that said, my 1974 Plymonth Duster once had a wind howl. The problem was the door panel itself. Down along the lower seam, a small straight slit was slightly visable. Once filled in with RTV sealant, the noise never came back. The wind howl would increase with vehicle speed and fill the inside of the door with outside air.
