Default Flashing Check Engine Light

My Check Engine light is flashing. I have a 2002 1500 5.2 Conversion Van. The light was not flashing until after I started to change the spark plugs. I changed 4 plugs on the passanger side. It was getting late so I did not replace the 4 on the driver side at this time.

Afterwards, I started the Van up. No noticible problems until I tookit for a drive. That is when the check light started flashing. It flashed 5 times, then stopped, then flashed 6 times, stoped. When I slowed down it stopped flashing, When I sped up (over 5mph) it started flashing again. I put in Autolite plugs. I do not have any codes showing on the odometer.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Default RE: Flashing Check Engine Light

When the CEL is flashing DO NOT drive the vehicle. This is a misfire warning and that your emissions are elevated to the point where you WILL damage the catalytic converter very quickly. My best guess is that your either put 2 wires on backwards or one of the wires is not all the way on the plug.
