Error 33 on B250, 318 TBI
Hello"
I have found some strange code on my -88 van B250. Engine 318 TBI
The "check engine" will show me code 33 (ac clutch relay something)
The problem is that this car dont have an AC system, any ideas how to correct this?, its quite annoying to see the lamp

A code 33 will not turn on the check engine light. It is normal to get a code 33 if you don't have A/C, but if your light is on then something else is causing it.
Thanks for your answer.
Maybe you missunderstand me, the lamp are not on all the time, but when i have run the car for a couple om km:s t comes on, and if i stop and shut of the car, and running the testmethod it reads code 33 and 55,
Thou it does sounds strange that it will get me code 33 as i dont have A/C and the computer shoult be programmednot to check for A/C failure, Or?
But still! where is the ac clutch relay placed? i read something about that it was placed inside the SMEC, could this be right?
