Im getting confusing feed back from different people here is my question..

I have a 2004 Dodge Q Cab 1500

I never tow anything, Do I need to change the rear Diff gearing? And if I do not, will it blow out anything?

You should be fine. We have a few goof ***** running around with 14-18" of lift and 44's. They still run the 3.73-4.11 and don't have any real issues-----yet.

I ran close to the same size on my ford, its about a 35" tire. I ran that size for years, with 3.55's in the rear, and it was fine, i noticed the lack of get up and go around town, but it would scream down the highway. lol .. I recently went up a few notch's to 4.56 and man do i love that baby in town now, 35" BFG mudders.. gotta nice low howl to them . and im still able to do 180km at under 3g rpm. also, my gas milage wasnt affected. it actualy got better then the 3.55's.

if you notice the trans down shifting alot when only slightly pushing on the gas pedal, you might need to change gears. if not don't worry about it.
