I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Offroad Truck. I love it!!!
Has anyone put on an after market exhaust system and air filter system. I want to put on a flow master and K&N Airfilter system for a performance and gas mileage increase, but I have heard that the computer chip in the 03 hemi will re-calibrate itself and the only noticible difference is the sound of the new exhaust system. Is this true? Has anyone heard of this. I read it on another message board. I forget which one.
Can anyone recommend an exhaust system and airfilter system setp that will increase Horse power and mpg?
Thanks for any replies.

Has anyone tried the Volant airbox system? A lot better looking than the K&N. IMO. A bit more expensive though.

I installed a tornado under my hood a while back. Its takes less than 3 min. to install, just pull off one end of your air hose push the tornado in the hose and then put the hose back on. It costs about $80 or so. It increased my gas millage by about 3 more mpg and it also adds horsepower. It says it adds between about 10 to 40 hp... i dunno about 40 but yeah it is a noticiable difference and the gas $aving$ paid for it after just a little while of use. I would say its worth if but check it out for your self with the 30 day moneyback garuntee!!

Flowmaster part #17375 a complete setup for the HEMI....if your truck is a Hemi! Great sound! Sounds bascially stock at idle and cruising speed which was what I was wanting...put when you put the peddle down....it sounds awesome!
