Default Need for Power

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with my needfor power ?

Now before I get to many folks mad...I'm a straight shooter..from the hip and a first timeMopar owner.Don't read this if you wear your feelings on your elbows.I come from a long family history of racing Chevy's and such. I like the new Dodge style so I gave it a shot. I have an 04 4.7 Quad Cab...now I know most will say ...should have got the Hemi...I havetaken a few "Hemi's" outand I'm not impressed. I took a Thunder model to the 1/4 mile strip and my buddy with his Chevy 1500 and Flow Master exhaust ate my lunch. The trucks were very close to facotry and yes I can drive,(my Chevy "muscle" trucks run 10's)

Is it that big of a difference from Chevy to Dodge or is it just me. I really like my truck and would just like to get my 4.7 to have a little more *** kicking power..for god sakes, the little Old Lady in the the Oldsmobile Alero out ran me from the light.

I have looked into the chip (few options) ,exahust, air intake, even a super charger (even fewer). I have even gone as far as bidding on a 5.9 on E-Bay. Any ideas from you Dodge folks.

Thanks,

I bought my '95 4x4 new on the lot and immediately added the performance chip upgrade, K&N airfilter, Jacob's ignition, Flowmaster exhaust, and (after the break-in) Mobil 1 synthetic oil (30wt). I have 275,000 miles on the truck and the engine runs great!!! Doesn't use oil and is more than responsive enough for me. I have since also went with a cooler spark plug (Champion 3344) and repositioned the Intake Air Temp sensor. I am also looking for a 20# radiator cap but having little luck and I regret not adding the cold air intake but there is still time.
