First, let me say thank you for taking time to reply. Regarding the MIL, I did take the truck to the dealer in early January fora diagnostic. Their results? NO problems found. They reset the computer and the light hasn't come back on. Seems this isn't unusual, at least according to theservice counter clerk."Happens all the time. Sometimes it gets to be really annoying". My thought: "No kidding, one trip was annoying". Anyway, the dealer's counter service is a whole different story. </P>


I appreciate all of your feedback and suspect that disconnecting the negative lead would have solved the problem. I'll try that if the light comes on again.</P>
