Default Rear turn signal problems

Hey i need some answers! I was driving along and my blinker in the cab did not flash but remained steady on when making a L turn. So no big deal, I have to replace a bulb. Then, I went to make a R turn and the light also remained on. I now know that neither rear turn signal works but my front turn signals and the dash trun lights come on when the turn signal is activated. It is highly unlikely that it is a buld given that both went at the same time. Also, the fuse is not burn and if it or the turn signal flasher was bad why would the frontcome steady on and the back not light at all? WHERE IS MY PROBLEM?????

Should we guess on what year and model Ram you have?

You have a bad flasher.

Sorry I completely forgot to add that. My baby is a 97 1500 4X4 5.9LV8 with 43,500 miles. It probably is a bad flasher unit, ill have to wait till morning to pick one up.
