i installed nerf bars on my ram, and they don't stick out far
enough, what can i do to fix this problem? the brackets are
extended out all the way. HELP

 

Short of having custom brackets made ($$$), there is not much you can do. Using an extension between the nerf bars and the brackets with longer bolts might seem like an easy fix. However, it really makes the bars fairly unsafe. Are you sure the brackets were installed in the correct location? I had a set on once, and the brackets were marked "L" and "R", and I didn't notice until I went to mount the bars on them. I had the same problem - too close to the cab.

 

yeah i noticed the indications on the brackets, and i also thought
about the longer bolts but i too realized that would be unsafe, i am
looking into haveing some custom brackets made. but tha is strange
that they would sit that close to the cab

 

What brand are the bars? Do you have pics of them installed?
