Default K&N Drop In

Pulled my K&N and went back to a standard filter. The K&N seemed to cause a loss of low end torgue. Anybody else experience this?

Do you have the Hemi???? If so then it is true for a loss of hp and torque. My 4.7L got some boost from the K&N drop-in not to mention about 2 more mpg....

So, does this apply to all Cold air intakes for the Hemi? or just certain ones? I just purchased a Fuel Injection Performance Kit (FIPK), Generation 2 by K&N, will i have the same problem, and if so is there a work around to correct the mixture issue?

This may be a stupid question, but did you disconnect the battery when the K&N was installed to reset the computer???

I have one in my Hemi and no problems. and nothing black. better check to see if you guy's installed it correctly. You may not have the filter ailined properly in the box.
