Hello everyone. I'm Billy (aka. reloader). I've been in the Jeep world for about 4 years and I just traded my grand cherokee for a 2000 ram sport 4x4. I don't have any picture yet b/c of rain here in the south (alabama), but I will soon. Anyways,a little about my truck. It has the 5.9L engine. it has 285 75 R16liberators. A soft top bed cover. The whole truck is Black. I really love this truck. Can yall help me of advising me on what to do to customising it? I do a lot of trail riding and that means using my 4WD A LOT. I'm not rough on a vehicle at all, a little mud never hurts no one. LOL. Anyways, I look forward to meating/talking with yall. Yall have a goodin'.

Billy

welcome, this is probably the best place to gain knowlage of your truck. There are so many ways to customize your rig that its hard to list any. Do you want motor mods, lifts, exterior features, interior? It goes on and on. Hope you have a big pocket!

Thanks for the welcome rtmorrisjr. I would like to do some exterior mods, but not overly done if you know what I mean. I want to put some tube steps on the sides but I don't know whether to go with chrome or black powder coating. I would like to do a spray in bedliner. I want to put a CB in there. Oh yeah, I have an sony xplode cd player with XM brian box and anntena, should I replace the stock radio or just keep that one in the truck? I like both, but I want my XM. I hate FM now!!! LOL, I know I can just buy that seperat device for XM, but what do yall think? Also, I'd like to buy a bull bar and put some fog lights on it. I think thats about it for now. I've had lifts and stuff but I think that the truck is ok, for now anyways. LOL . Thanks again yall.

well as far as the tube step, black or crome is a huge question. many have asked and all the answers are dif. From what i have gathered from everyone else (and i have black painted ones) is that the best thing is stainless steel. They dont chip and look as good as chrome. My black ones are good right now but could def use another coat of paint. The spray in bed liner is also an awsome idea. I dont have one yet but i am shopping for it. Again tho, between brands (rhino or line x)is a huge question. I think im going w/ the line x but its just personal opinions on that. For the radio, i like the stock look. But i also think that if you put in an aftermarket you will be happy with the results. aftermarket anything is usually better. Just my 2 cents on that tho. I think your off to a good start. Another nice thing is if you have line x sprayed on the bottom part of the truck panels. I like the look of it personally and it helps to protect from road (and off-road) debrie (sp?)

forgot to mention, some guys (not me, i like them) like to debadge their trucks. By taking the badges off it give a more "clean" look to the outside of the truck. Its all personal prefference tho.

thanks for the help man. I have got to get some pictures of it up so you can see what it looks like. By the way, how can I get a build sheet on my truck? When I got one of grand cherokee I just went to the jeep website and gave my VIN # and I recieved an email with my build sheet. Can I do the same for my truck? I keep getting confused of what I actually have in a sport package. I know about the bumpers and stuff but I've also noticed that I have what looks like 2" lift blocks under the rear springs. I really would like to know what all this truck has. Thanks again.

you can go to the dealer and give them the vin and they can print it for ya. there is also another site (forgot which one for sure) that they will email it to you in a few days. do a search on this site and you will be able to find other topics about that. Hope that helps and yes, pics of the truck would be a plus.

Well, I don't have a picture yet of my truck but here is the build sheet I recieved. This will give you an idea of what I have. If yall have any suggestions on what I can do to this truck, like mentioned above in recent posts, I would gladly appreciate it. I'll try to get some pictures up over the weekend. Thanks

By the way, my truck is a 2000 Dodge Ram sport and its black.
