rear main oil seal

do i need a special tool to replace my rear main oil seal in my 1989 dodge ram 5.9 liter.....is this a straight forward operation?

you should have enough space to drop the pan and replace the seal without jacking motor up . no special tools. you can replace the oil pump while your there.
