Default 2004 Ram 75w-90 or 75w-140?

5 out of 7 dealers told me the 9.25 rear in a 2004 Hemi sport takes a 75w-90 fluid. 2 other dealers and my manual says it takes a 75w-140. Which is it and will it hurt if I run a 75w-90 instead, which is what I put in. (Amsoil). Thanks

2004 DC shop manual states 75W-90. That is synthetic too.

My 02 took 90w also if you have "anti-spin" you will have to add the friction additive. I did my own, dealer wanted $170 per pumpkin. I did both for $70. When i bought my magnum i went over to the service counter and they couldnt even answer how many qts of oil the 3.5L took. I dont have much faith in the dealers anymore. I would go with what the manual says.
