Default Air Intake

I got a new Edelbrock air intake for my 1986 W150 and I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me if when I install the open filter if I just take out all the old hosing for good?

What hosing are you talking about? Most hoses to the intake and air cleaner assemblyhave to do with the emissions controls and are vacuum related. Just taking them off will make it run like crap, if at all. I'd suggest spending the $15-20 for a Haynes or Chilton manual before you pull anything off.

Word of advice - Take pictures from all angles of the motor before you remove anything. You'd be amazed at how quickly you can forget where something went!
