I bought a used 01 1500 the other day. It has a strong used car deoderant and stale interior smell. Is there something i can do other than cover the smell with other cleaners. Ive heard of steam cleaning and also using ozone generators to remove deep odors. Has anyone had success at removing stale truck odors?

 

Be careful using a steam cleaner on the seats. I had to have my drivers seat in my '06 steam cleaned and it is now two shades darker than the rest [:@]. The cloth just doesn't like water.

If your sure there is no mold or anything else growing in it just try Fabreeze - - that stuff works for almost everything. Ozone filters have a bad tendicy for kicking off breathing problems; plus they cost a ton and a $4 bottle is so much faster

 

feel thecarpet. Is it danp? Its common that the carpet in the truck (under the driver side) gts wet. Sometimes the windshield leaks and it getsinto the carpet. Might have, like said before, some mold building up in there.
