i have read that other people have been ok with that tire, however rememebr that your speedo will be off about 5 or 6 miles per hour if you have a bigger side wall. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlinput the two tire sizes and see how much they will be off. if you want to keep the same speedo reading you would need a 285 60 16... however when your talking about trucks i wouldnt want such a small side wall it would look kind of silly.

im looking to get somthing in the area of 265 70 16, with that tire you'll have a wider tire and you'll only be off around 3 miles per hour or at 60mph. if you do alot of driving i would say thats a better bet. if you just use it to tool around and go off road and bring stuff to the dump then go with the biggest tire you can fit.

33" diameter will fit a stock Ram 1500 4x4 w/ no problem.
I bought 33x12.5x17's 3 weeks after I bought my '04 new. No rubbing issues and filled the tire well nicely.

Make sure if you replace the wheel you get a positive offset or it may rub with a 33" also it is recommended to go with an 18" rim asan aftermarket 17" may hit the balancing weights depending on manufacturer.
