Hi,

I have a 1995 1500-SLT 360, 2WD auto.

Yesterday it died and rolled to a stop. It would not start so I lifted the hood to look for anything obvious but found nothing. I got back in and it started. I drove about 100 yeards and it died again. I found that if I wait about 2 minutes it will restart for a short while then die again.

I had it towed home and this morning when cold it will not start at all. Plenty of gas, electrics are all working fine.

Can anyone throw some light on where to start looking please?

Try posting this over in the 2nd gen area and you might get more help.
Click back to the Dodge Ram, then at the top there are different areas for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen. Click on the 2nd gen and post there.

Sounds like poor fuel presure. Try a filter first, if still bad, buy a guage (about $15) and check the pressure at the rail. If it is bad, your pump may be going bad.

 

We had the same problem 2 weeks ago and it ended up being the fuel pump had gone out, there was 250+ shot right in the butt. I had narrowed it down by checking the fused 1st, then replaced the relay 2nd, and checked the length of the wiring, and when it all checked out that only left the pump. Replaced it and now its back on the road and running good. Good luck on yours.
