I need to replace the upper ball joint on my 2002 Ram 1500 4x4. From those I have talked to, I need to buy the whole control arm with the ball joint in it. Is this true, or can I buy just a ball joint and press it in myself?

Any help would be appreciated.

According to the manual, the control arm has to come off. Now whether or not you have to replace the entire arm, or just have it removed so a new one is pressed in it doesn't say.
