73 power ram gear ratio
i have 1973 dodge power ram with an 85 power ram body the truck has a Realy low gear ratio. can anyone help me with it could be and what type of axels i have. it is 4x4 with locking front hubs if that makes a difference.

Put a chalk mark on the driveshaft and diff housing that line up.
If it's a posi, then jack up both wheels and turn them exactly once. Count how many time the shaft turns.
If it's not posi, then jack up one wheel and turn it exactly twice. Count how many times the shaft turns.
3 and 1/4 turns would be a 3.23
Almost 4 turns would be a 3.92.
