Default Intake gasket

Ok we just replaced the intake gasket but we put RTVon both sides of the gasket. Were we only supposed to do one side? If we take it apart can we salvage the new gasket that we just put on or do we need another one? Also we didn't torque the bolts down correctly could that cause a vacume leak. The truck is acting up again like it had before we fixed it. It was fine right after we fixed it but went to crap soon after driving it.

I would recommend starting with your plug wires, make sure that your firing order is correct. Also you should be doing a oil change with any intake work like yours. but I would say that checking your firing order would be the best place to start and if that dosn't solve it, start testing for spark and fuel.

What was your problem that led you to replace the intake gasket? Did you replace the plenum gasket too?
Improper torquing can warp the manifold.
