I'm looking at buying a new dodge. Down in Dallas (near where I live) I can get one for 18,000. Should I wait untill next summer or should I take this deal. I have an offer for 6k for my 96.

if you want an 07 nov or dec would be the best time to buy the dealers are trying to make way for the new 08 modles and you would get more rebates from dodge and of corsebuying at the last week of the mounth the dealers are trying to make their quota for the mounth and would work with you a lot more i got my 06 4.7l 4x4ram in nov of 06 and i gotit for 21,000 and thats carrying over 6,000 from another car i got like over 7,500 in rebates i hope i have been of some help and good luck on your next dodge.

18,000 out the door is a good deal..depending on the truck options. I got my 07 hemi single cabsltfor 16.5 so that's like 18.3 out the door....I probably could have gotten if for a little cheaper but i wanted them to make some money too.

Take my advice, the best time to buy a new vehicle is the last day of the month.. If the dealer has not met his "quota", you can get the best deal....

Around Christmas and new years are good times to work a deal. You can shoot a cannon across most showrooms at that time. February is good too. That's when the Christmas Visa bill comes[:@]

Good advice above.
Also consider waiting long enough to buy with cash.
If you can't or won't buy with cash
spend the time searching for the best loan,
which typically is coming right now from a credit union.
For most Ram owners
the greatest opportunity for saving money
is not to buy on credit something that immediately starts declining in value.
Save your credit rating to only purchase things
that go up in value faster
than the interest you are paying on the loan.
