Anyone out there got a 02 and up ram hood for sale. I am getting ready to experiment with my own ram air setup. Dont like some of whats out there and want to try my own without spending a fortune on a few good hoods. I have everything else done on my 03 ThunderRoad Hemi, K&N Cold air,Magnaflow catback,20's, Chip, just need to try that Ram Air. Thanks

I dont have a hood but ......I also have a qc ram (18 days old) and was looking to upgrade the engine compartment and I noticed you have a few items im in the market for. Could you please give some feed back on your experience with the CAI,CHIP(what kind/brand) magnaflow...are you pleased with all? im in the market and was looking at the magnaflow you singled it out right? because of the G- Effects . do you have a wav. file on that magnaflow? and also why didnt youchoose a programmer instead of a chip? did you dyno ? I was just curious because coincidently im looking at the same set-up........and it could help me confirm my decisions........Thanks man</P>

Here is a post from a buddy of mine on http://www.pickuptruck.com, he is looking at getting a SRT-10 hood for his Ram 1500...</P>


Just called the dealer to see if the hood for the SRT-10 ram is available to be ordered yet. Well, there's good news and bad news. You can order them but...the parts guy said there are 104 of them already ordered that haven't been delivered and don't look as if the will be for a while since only 28 of them are available but aren't being released yet. </P>

All other aftermarket fiberglass hoods, which I don't believe this one is, are as much or cheaper than this one painted as well and shipped. The SRT one does look pretty sweet however. I'd love to order one, I think this will be next but I'm going to look into other aftermarket hoods first I think and compare the prices. I saw one on the show TRUCKS! that had a single scoop in the middle but actually cranked up from inside the cab to open it. It was pretty awesome. I'll wait if I'm decide on the SRT hood until I know when I'll be getting it. Almost sounds like they may sell more hoods than trucks for them at first!!

yeah i definitely want that hood, i think it makes all other ram
air hoods on the market for 02 up rams look bad. i might have to pick
that up with my tax return.

 

yeah in 2005, hehehehe. that will be on back order for awhile. now they can create a new supply and demand. $$$$$$

 

Hey guys, new to this forum. I work for the parts dept at a Dodge dealership. Just wanted to let you know something about this hood. First off the part number for the hood about is wrong. It is 5029419AE. That hood does not come with the insert piece for the intake. There is no part number avaible for this yet. IF you want this hood your supposed to order 82208702, This is the hood and all the other pieces you need. This is not avaible yet and theres no price. One of are employes ordered the hood mentioned about and we spent hours talkin with chrysler and are District Rep about it.So unless you just want the shell dont order the one listed above.</P>
